Toilet Paper Catastrophe

August 14, 2008 at 2:00 am (friends, work) (, , , )

Last night was another one of those memorable nights with friends before i leave for college. A bunch of my co-workers and I decided to rent a hotel room for a night. More than half of them were drinking but I chose not to. One friend, Kelsey, had a guy come over randomly and he ended up staying the night with us. lol. At about 2:30, we left the hotel and tp-ed our manager’s house. 62 rolls of toilet paper and 6 people. It went pretty quickly, but we demolished the house.

I woke up this morning to two missed calls from my manager that we tp-ed. I called her back and she told me her husband was pressing charges and everything. Real Nice. I dont know for sure still if everything is okay, but i called my head manager to see what she knew about it and she was laughing hysterically the whole time and said she wanted a copy of the photos we took to frame them. lol. that made me feel a bit better.

We didn’t get to sleep until 4 or 5 this morning and then woke up at 7. I got to snuggle with Ali so i was pretty happy. I love that girl. Someone blasted the cold air up so i felt like I was a solid piece of ice.

What a night. I will have pictures up on here as soon as Sam sends them to me.

Some Seriousness

August 11, 2008 at 4:47 am (Being a Writer, Guys, family, friends, self improvement, work)

My good friend’s parents are getting a divorce. I think this is one area i feel completely clueless about. She keeps looking to me for advice, but i really couldn’t even begin to imagine what that would feel like. Especially since the circumstances of the divorce are situations that would be impossible to create within my family. I think most people know by now i don’t have a good extended family situation. This friend’s father is prohibiting her and her mother from seeing any of her mother’s side of the family–her mother isn’t aloud to talk to her own sister. Obviously, no one would try to keep me from seeing my family because i don’t see them much anyway, so i just don’t know how to make her feel better. I’ve been trying to get her out and about as much as possible, but since her mother has no one to go to for help with the divorce since she can’t talk to her family, my friend is her only help and has to stay at home a lot.

I’m meeting J for coffee tomorrow to exchange poetry and ideas. I am really nervous. I’m so confident when it comes to accomplishing things–I pretty much feel like I can do anything and become whoever I want to be. There is a problem though. I never feel like I’m good enough. For anyone. I feel like I’m going to let J down with my poetry, heck, I don’t even feel like I deserve all of the help he has given me already. I don’t get why he would want to help me when there are so many students out there that are sooo good at writing and so intelligent.

My last day at work was today. I am going to miss it soo much. I really love all of the people there. Alex and I were flirting a lot…but, I still couldn’t even begin to guess what goes on inside that head of his. lol. On Tuesday, the high schoolers from work are getting together and renting a hotel room for the night. We are going to go tp our manager’s house around 4am. I really can’t wait. lol. I’m going to stick some OSU flags in her yard too. There are going to be like 7 of us, so her house is going to be demolished. lol.

Super Crew was so creative this week. Their task was to create a seen from the movie footloose for the second dance and they were doing duet b-boying to represent dancing together. Who the heck would’ve come up with something that crazy!! I loved it, seriously. I am mad though that So Real was the top crew. Fanny Pack definitely deserved another shot to go up against Super Crew for the final!

Vote for Super Crew!!

The polls don’t close until Thursday the 21st. Please Vote!!

So Real Cru (The Competition) To me, its obvious who the better crew is, but i guess you can decide for yourself.

My Passion (Dance)

Super Crew (They did an amazing job this week. I think their crew is at a slight disadvantage since they have no girls–its hard to make your routine sexy when you have all guys. Overall though, they are still my favorite crew based on purely skill)

So Real Cru (I think this was a pretty weak performance for them, but still good. Its kinda hard for their crew to perform poorly.)

Fanny Pack (They KILLED this week. Definitely their best performance ever. I even think they owned Super Crew this week. Missy Elliot was even blown away.)

I’m pretty sure Fanny Pack will be number one next week because of how killer their performance was this week. I’m not worried about Super Cr3w though. I think the judges love them and will pick them over So Real Cru. (It will be sad to see So Real go though because they are my second favorite.) Thank God the Boogie Bots are gone. They obviously didn’t belong with these top three based on their performance last night. ASSID you have been up there instead.

Sorry, I just figured out how to put in music videos so I’m abusing it a bit. I’ve wanted to put these up for so long though.

Is there a Heaven?

August 1, 2008 at 5:16 am (Zena, family, music)

After watching that video, i can’t help but think, maybe there is a heaven. There has to be some place where people, who didn’t get a chance to live their lives because of other people or an illness, get to fulfill their dreams. Maybe there is a God out there. It just doesn’t seem fair for human beings to completely take away some one’s chance at survival. I’m a believer in second chances, so just maybe there is such a place. At least for those who didn’t get their chance.

This one by Kenny Chesney reminds me soo much of Zena, and it makes me cry every time.
